Hi Everyone,

On Thursday 4th March we will be celebrating 2 Years of Alchemy Dance Academy at its home in Basingstoke! And what a two years it has been! We've taken great pleasure in watching the academy grow, along with our students' dancing. For us the Academy is a work-in-progress. We are always looking for ways to make improvements, both in how we run the school, and in our methods of teaching salsa the Alchemy Way. Those of you who have been with us since we opened in Basingstoke will have seen many changes over the 2 years, hopefully for the better! We thank you for your continued support and helping us in the creation of our dream salsa academy! Hope you can join us to celebrate on the 4th March for a night of classes and dancing, with some birthday cake at the end of the evening!!

SALSA @ THE JAZZ CAFE is this Sunday 21st February! Join us at our fantastic club night, co-hosted with Dance2Salsa. We have Cha Cha at 2 levels & Salsa classes at 4 levels (including beginners). Club dancing is until midnight to the hottest mambo, salsa, latin jazz & cha cha played by DJ Davina & DJ Basil. If you miss it, you just know you're missing out!

The venue is the atmospheric Jazz Cafe at the Madejski Stadium, Reading. Classes are from 7.30pm. Only £8 all night.

ALCHEMY DANCE ACADEMY... 'ON TOUR'!!!

Following the success of our Alchemy group at the Salsa Splash weekender in January (there were 30 people from the Academy!), we are organising a group booking for two more Salsa Splash weekenders this year. There is Salsa Splash, Botley, Southampton 23-26 July & Salsa Splash, Hayling Island 24-27 September

Run by Mambo City, both weekends offer 2 full days of workshops, 3 nights of parties, shows, black tie dinner&dance, theme night, leisure facilities and much much more! The Alchemy group organises tables for our evening meals together, group fancy dress for the theme night, we aim to have our rooms/chalets allocated in the same area, and have a 'buddie-up' system if you would like a fellow Alchemy-Splasher to share a room with! Great for newbies and seasoned weekender-goers alike! Join Marchant, Davina and your Academy friends for two fabulous weekends.

As the Hayling Island weekender is the longest running and is sell-out event, we are submitting our group early. Booking forms and deposits of £65 per person need to be handed in at the Academy by Thursday 4th March (along with post-dated cheque for the balance).
