February 2008

Hi Everyone!

A belated Happy New Year to you all!! We hope 2008 is going well for you so far. We recently returned from a visit to Marchant's home in Cape Town, South Africa. We had a lovely (much needed) holiday, but also managed to squeeze in some work! Salsa in South Africa is growing steadily, and we were delighted to be invited to teach an afternoon workshop at Cape Town's newest salsa school, The Salsa Studio. We had a great time and appreciated all the dancers fantastic attitude to learning. A big shout goes out to Regan and all at the studio. We also taught private lessons and were taken around the salsa and jazz clubs by local friends. Hi to Toby, Bev, Dominic, Claire, Rory & Lesley, we so enjoyed your company and hospitality.

So back to our current news... The big one being the launch of our regular ALCHEMY DANCE ACADEMY night in Basingstoke! The LAUNCH NIGHT is Thursday 6th March, after which we will be resident EVERY Thursday.

Our venue has a fantastic sprung wooden floor, loads of space, and ample free parking. Access is easy from the M3 (J6), A33, M4.
